LOST BUT FOUND

That day was different. The scorching of the sun was out of say. Human beings cannot even lodge within their own compound. It was usual to see animals like lizard, birds, ants, mouse, hen , goats, sheep and all domestic animals around, but that day was different. You can barely hear the sound of anything. Viewing from afar is another problem. Wondering what the cause is , but no solution.

It came to mind all of a sudden to fetch water from the river side. Not as usual as I used to do in the afternoons, but I have no idea why that afternoon. On my way, even the grasses along side wasn’t shaking. I can only hear my own footsteps. Upon reaching, I had some thought. Is there a day like this? Why should it be today? Why not another time of my life? And why did I choose to visit the river side in the mid- day, not in the afternoons as I used to do.

A cool breeze blew and I wasn’t able to do within minutes. A calmed hug I received at my back. Whom should it be? That question pepped through my mind. I saw the persons legs and to raise my head above the person’s knees, it was a dark skinned woman with dimples and pink lips. With screams and hugs, that was my kidnapped mother years back.
